Like many creatives, my first introduction to art was through drawing. Scribbling box houses, cloud trees and depicting every living creature as a stick, although not as iconic as Lowry.

I was so lucky as a child to have a parent that found solace in putting pencil to paper. My Dad would spend hours with my sisters and I drawing cartoon characters and simple objects from around the house. My mum wasn't very creative, but she always encouraged us to draw, paint and make things with whatever was lying around and of course to my mum every mark or stuck down litter pasta was a work of art and her kitchen walls were always covered in a colourful collage of our creations.
